Theme "Give Glory and Honour to God"
Rev 19:1
INTRODUCTION:
As we step into a new year
2013, what are our
aspiration and hopes for our
lives and our family? While
many will pursue the things
of the world, to have
better-paid jobs, or to
perform better in school
academically, but have we
ever stopped and thought
over these mundane things in
life? As age catches up with
us and our limbs begin to
feel the aches and pains, we
realize that these material
pursuits are not everything
a life would consist.
And so we need to turn our
eyes upwards to the God who
made us and deserves that we
seek Him first and foremost
in all our pursuits. There
is nothing more important
than for a created being to
realize this truth as it
matters most in his
transient existence on
earth. The greatest and
chief end of every man is
that he may glorify God and
enjoy Him here and hereafter
forever. We exist to give
Him pleasure and thus we
seek to offer praises to Him
every day of our life. Not
just in words but in deeds
as well.
Thus, the Hokkien Worship
has arranged messages
throughout the year which
will help us grow in the
Lord spiritually, so that
when we are strengthened in
our faith, we will be able
to strengthen others as
well. There are also
programmes planned for the
elderly where they can
interact and be involved in
and hence be part of the
body of the Church.
We look forward to welcoming
you into our midst as we
seek to worship our gracious
God in spirit and in truth.
May the peace and joy of the
Lord be with you!
