Testimony of Preacher & Mrs Harrison

(Calvary Miri Bp Church, Sarawak)

My wife (Charlene) and I would like to express our joy over the fellowship with you all last Lord’s Day.  About 2 weeks ago Elder Willie Low called us and said he and his wife wanted to visit us.  We had a wonderful time of fellowship. Elder Low shared the Word and gave words of exhortation and encouragement to us.

This was our first encounter with Calvary B-P Church members after such a long time — about 7 or 8 years ago.  As for my wife, that was her very first visit to your church.  We were amazed and touched by your hospitality in receiving us with smiling and happy faces.  As we mingled around after the Worship Service we felt the warm fellowship among all of you.  How we wish we know you earlier.  Thank you for remembering and praying for us in our ministry for many years.

Thank God, last Lord’s Day we could meet and have fellowship together.  It reminds us of Hebrews 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another….”  Calvary B-P Church’s brethren had that kind of fellowship in practice.  Our hope and prayer is that the younger generation of Calvary B-P Church — children, teens and youths will continue in the faith and keep up the testimonies which they have seen in you as leaders and parents to carry on the good work of your Church to glorify God.

The warm approach of the leaders, ushers and greeters made us feel welcome.  We thank God for the exposition of His Holy Word, the wonderful singspiration and the encouragement which we received during the Worship and after.  We thank God for your Pastor, Rev James Chan and his wife, though advanced in age, yet still faithfully serving the Lord.  May their lives also be a model for us and our younger generation.

Once again, thanks for everything.  God willing, we will have fellowship with you in the near future.  Bye…!
