Geneva Institute The Geneva Institute commenced in January 2000 through a joint conference for church leaders and young people. The goal was to open the Chapel’s door to teach the Protestant Reformed convictions to selected church leaders in Sri Lanka. Several subjects had been taught: Westminster Shorter Catechism Studies, the attributes of God (using Puritan author, Thomas Watson’s Body of Divinity), the beatitudes of Christ (using Thomas Watson’s The Beatitudes), book studies on 2 Peter, Jude and Prophecy of Daniel. About a dozen full time students and 20 part time students had attended the lectures. They came from Hatton, Trincomalee, Mannar, Nuwera Eliya, Kalutura and Jaffna.
Geneva Nursery The Geneva Nursery commenced in mid-January 2004. The medium of instruction is English with Sinhalese and Tamil languages taught. Each day is begun by singing Christian songs and prayer. The followings are the subjects included in the Nursery teaching program: Moral Instruction, Speech, Reading, Recitation, Writing, Numbers, Health Study, Nature Study, Drawing, Handwork, Games, Rhythmic Exercises and Singing.
