The objectives are to comfort and encourage those who are sick, and to know members and friends better at their homes. The duration of each visit varies from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on needs. Usually, the Word of God is shared, a hymn sung and prayer made to lift up the soul. Follow-up visits are made to homes after their discharge from the hospitals or hospices.
